Creating branding products in your byrd dashboard allows you to enhance brand awareness by including items like flyers, stickers, and vouchers in your parcels. They function like other types of products, meaning they can be sent in deliveries, stored in the warehouse, and added to shipments and bundles.

Branding products are not communicated to the carrier for customs as they typically have no selling price or tariff number. It's crucial to set the branding SKU correctly, especially for shipments that require customs.

Follow these simple steps to create branding products in your dashboard:

1. Access the Create Product Section

• Log in to your byrd dashboard.
• Navigate to the "Inventory" section.
• Click on "New Product" at the top right corner.

2. Create a Branding Product

• Fill in the required fields for the product as you would for a regular product.
• Select the "Branding" option in the top right corner of the Create Product page.
• Use the switch to select the branding type SKU.

3. Identifying Branding Products

• In the Product List page, branding SKUs will be shown with a branding icon

Can an existing SKU be changed from Regular Product to Branding Product?

No, it is not possible to change the type of an existing SKU. A new SKU must be created for it to be a branding product. For the initial rollout, the tech team can manually update the type of an existing SKU.

Does the stock level get tracked for branding products?

Stock levels for branding products are tracked only when these items are included as part of a bundle or added as pickalongs in orders. When branding products like flyers or stickers are included in such ways, the system will update and track their stock levels. However, if these items are added to parcels without being part of a regular shipment, their stock levels will not be updated. Some may instruct operations directly without including the branding SKU in the system, which prevents the stock from being updated.

How much does it cost to store my branding products?

Storage fees apply to branding products just like any other SKU.

What are the pick fees for branding products?

The pick fees for branding products might vary depending on whether they are added as pickalongs (included with specific items) or distributed to all parcels. The exact fees will depend on your pricing contract.
