Setting Up Mondial Relay for WooCommerce & Shopify

With byrd you can use the popular carrier Mondial Relay for your shipments from our fulfillment center in France. This enables you to offer pick-up point deliveries to your customers across multiple countries such as France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain.

Please note that this service is currently available for WooCommerce & Shopify merchants. In this article you can find the documentation for a seamless integration with both systems.

Setting Up Mondial Relay with WooCommerce

To offer Mondial Relay delivery and display the Mondial Relay map during checkout in your WooCommerce store, follow these steps:

Step 1: Install Mondial Relay in Your WooCommerce Shop

1. Install the Mondial Relay Plugin:
   • Visit the Mondial Relay website to subscribe and download the plugin zip file.
   • Install the plugin in your WooCommerce shop by following these installation instructions.
2. Configure the Plugin:
   • Adjust the plugin settings by following these configuration instructions.

Important: Make sure not to change the "Mondial Relay Parcel Shop ID" name in WooCommerce, as it may cause issues when importing orders.

Step 2: Checkout Process with Pick Up/Mondial Relay Option

Once you've set up Mondial Relay, here is how your customers can choose it as their delivery option during checkout:

1. Select Mondial Relay: Your customers will see Mondial Relay as a delivery option.
2. Choose Pickup Station: They can pick their preferred Mondial Relay station from a list.
3. Map Popup: A map will help them locate and select the desired station.
4. Order Confirmation: After placing the order, your customers will receive a confirmation with shipment details and the selected pickup station.

Step 3: Mondial Relay Notifications for Recipients

Once the shipment reaches the Mondial Relay pickup station, your customer will receive the following notifications:

1. Delivery Confirmation: A notification confirming delivery to the pickup station.
2. Follow-up Reminder: A reminder sent via email and SMS after two days.
3. Final Reminder: A final reminder sent via email and SMS six days later.

To add Mondial Relay to your Shopify checkout, follow these steps:

Step 1: Install the Mondial Relay Plugin

1. Visit the Mondial Relay website to subscribe and download the plugin zip file.
