In cases where byrd cannot provide the service (e.g., for shipping pallets outside of the EU), you can use the B2B self pick-up option. Here’s how to ensure a smooth self pick-up process for pallet shipments.
Important Note: Self pick-up is currently excluded from SLAs.
1. Choose Your Shipping Option as Self Pick-Up
- Manual Selection: When creating a manual B2B shipment, select the self pick-up option.
- byrd Standard Only: Ensure the byrd processing standard is selected, as this option is not available for Amazon shipments.
- Parcel and Pallet Shipments: You can choose self pick-up for both parcel and pallet shipments.
- Order Identification: Orders marked for self pick-up will be clearly identified in your dashboard.

2. Manually Release Self Pick-Up Orders
- Manual Release: Manually release self pick-up orders from your dashboard.
- Address Validation: Address validation is skipped for self pick-up shipments (if AV is enabled).
3. Select the Warehouse and Check Pick-Up Hours
- Warehouse Selection: Manually select the warehouse if you are operating from multiple warehouses.
- Pick-Up Hours: Select available pick-up hours in the selected warehouse.
4. Confirm Processing and Arrange Pick-Up
- Warehouse Processing: Once the warehouse packs and fulfills the shipment, it will be marked as "Ready to pick up" in your Customer Dashboard.
- Arranging Pick-Up: After selecting suitable pick-up hours, inform us of the exact date, time, and type of carrier that will arrive. If a shipping label is required, ensure it is provided. We will notify the warehouse about the pick-up. Our warehouse will then move the shipment to "Sent" status and upload the documents accordingly.
5. Understand Timing and Costs
- Processing Time: Shipments will be ready for pick up from the warehouse within 48 hours from the processing start day if the order is released, and necessary information/documents for self-pickup are submitted before 12:00 PM on the release day.
- Extra Costs: If the pick-up does not happen within 72 hours, extra costs may apply.
